Our goal with the Scholars Program is to create a network of young people who are deeply invested in giving back to the community and provide them with the resources, ideas, and training to carry out their visions for the future. Through the generosity of our community, the ONE Project will provide 12 high school freshmen with a year-long leadership training that meets once a month and award each student with a $500 scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded at the end of their leadership training upon completion of their Community Service Project. The ONE Project is committed to making a difference by bringing people from different backgrounds together to address social needs through education and volunteerism.
To be eligible to apply for the ONE Project Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be enrolled as a freshman in one of the Mercer County public high schools and be progressing toward graduation in the spring/summer of 2027;

Exhibit a strong commitment to community service and demonstrate the ability to inspire others;

Have significant and impactful experience helping address a social need;

Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5; and
-
Willingness to create and manage a Community Service Project.
The Community Service Project is a project of the recipient’s choosing that meets either of the following goals:

Creating opportunities to unite the community to address its needs, and/or
-
Facilitate interfaith dialogue to enhance mutual understanding and respect for differences.
The ONE Project will also host and facilitate leadership training for all the ONE Project Scholars that will also provide a time to network and exchange ideas with other scholarship recipients.
